Our Sunday Service

At FBC Milton, we know that it is incredibly difficult to walk into a church for the very first time. You’re not sure where to go, how you’ll be received, what worship will be like, and more. Our visitors consistently compliment our friendliness and welcoming atmosphere. We really do hope our church feels like home from your very first visit. So what can you expect during our worship services? In a word, the Bible. We hold to the regulative principle of worship, which simply means that we worship the way the Bible instructs us to.

We like to say that we are committed to “word-driven worship.” That includes:

Scripture Reading

Reading from the Word of God

Worship

Congregational Singing of Biblically and Doctrinally Sound Songs

Giving

Receiving Tithes and Offerings (Not Expected of Our Guests)

Preaching

Expository Preaching (Preaching Through the Scriptures)

Lord's Supper

Ephesians 4:11-13

“And he gave the apostles, prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” (ESV)

Engage

Philippians 2:3

“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” (ESV)

Guidelines and Next Steps

What to Expect

Arrival & Parking

We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to find parking and get settled. Our parking lot is located directly in front of the church building, with accessible parking spaces near the main entrance. Greeters will be outside to welcome you and help you find your way.

A Warm Welcome

As you enter our building, you’ll be greeted by friendly faces who are genuinely excited to see you. Don’t worry—we won’t put you on the spot or make you stand up in front of everyone! We simply want you to feel at home. If you’re new, our greeters can direct you to the sanctuary, restrooms, nursery, or children’s areas.

Children Are Welcome

We love having children in our services! Families are welcome to sit together during worship. We also offer nursery care for infants and toddlers (birth-3 years) and children’s church for ages 4-10 during the sermon. Our volunteers are background-checked and trained to provide a safe, fun, and age-appropriate experience for your little ones.

Worship & Music

Our worship is a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs. We sing to glorify God and prepare our hearts to receive His Word. You’ll find the lyrics on the screen, so feel free to sing along—or simply listen and worship in your own way. Our worship team leads with authenticity and passion, creating an atmosphere where you can encounter God’s presence.

The Message

The heart of our Sunday service is the preaching of God’s Word. Our pastor delivers biblical, Christ-centered messages that are practical, relevant, and rooted in Scripture. Expect to be challenged, encouraged, and equipped to live for Jesus in your everyday life. Messages typically last 30-40 minutes, and we encourage you to bring your Bible and take notes.

Offering

During the service, we take time to collect tithes and offerings. Giving is an act of worship, but as a guest, you are not expected to give. If you’re a member or regular attender, you can give by placing your gift in the offering plate as it’s passed, or you can give online anytime.

Communion

We celebrate the Lord’s Supper (Communion) on the first Sunday of each month. This is a sacred time when we remember Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. All who have trusted in Jesus as Lord and Savior are welcome to participate. If you haven’t made that decision yet, you’re welcome to simply observe and reflect.
