We are a community deeply rooted in the timeless truths of the Gospel, committed to living out our faith with conviction and joy. We invite you to explore our story, our mission, and what makes us a unique family of believers.
First Baptist Milton was founded in 1974 as a church plant of First Baptist Church of Broussard to serve the Milton community, which had no Baptist church at the time. Starting humbly in a local bar, the church has grown and moved to its current campus at the corner of E. Broussard Rd. and Milton Hwy. We are an elder-led, deacon-supported, and congregationally-governed church committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the authority of Scripture. Our fellowship is warm and welcoming, centered on biblical truth and the joy of worshiping God together.
Who We Are
Our mission is to glorify God by making disciples who live out the Gospel in every area of life. We are committed to expository preaching that faithfully teaches the whole counsel of God’s Word, grounded in the five solas of the Reformation: Scripture alone, grace alone, faith alone, Christ alone, and for the glory of God alone. We seek to nurture believers through sound teaching, authentic community, and faithful worship, equipping them to serve Christ locally, nationally, and globally.
Our Mission
When you join us on a Sunday morning, you will experience:
- Biblically Sound Teaching: Expository preaching that explains and applies Scripture.
- Reverent Worship: Congregational singing of doctrinally rich songs focused on God’s glory.
- Gospel Fellowship: A welcoming community committed to prayer, discipleship, and mutual encouragement.
- The Lord’s Supper: Weekly observance as a reminder of Christ’s sacrifice and our unity in Him.
What to Expect
We affirm the Southern Baptist Convention’s Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and have a clear Statement of Faith developed by our elders. We believe in the authority of Scripture, the Trinity, salvation by grace through faith, and the call to live holy lives for God’s glory.
Our Beliefs
Since 2022, under Pastor Matt Palmer’s leadership, we have grown in unity and mission, merging with Redeemer City Church in 2025 and expanding our ministry and facilities.
